Budennogo Street is one of the key transport arteries of Grodno, approximately 1800–2000 meters long, connecting the railway station with the bus station and extending towards Ozerskoye Highway. It emerged in the 19th century due to the construction of the Saint Petersburg–Warsaw railway and follows the route of ancient 17th–18th century fortification ramparts.

In 2013, the street was completely reconstructed and became four-lane, with the development of over 200 parking spaces and modern bus stop pavilions. Despite the large-scale renovation and the loss of many historic buildings (including Grodno's first power station from 1912), old basements are still being found underground here, while surviving 19th-century buildings now house offices and museums.
